TL;DR for those who don't want to read the longass post, Zenimax, the owner of companies like id Software (Doom series) and Bethesda (The Elder Scrolls and Fallout franchises) has been awarded $500 over claims that Oculus used their code to create the Oculus Rift, one of the various VR solutions that have sprouted up in recent years. 

The breakdown of the $500 million owed goes as follows:

"Breakdown: Oculus pays $200M for NDA, $50M for false des[cription], $50M for copyright, Luckey pays $50M false des[cription], Iribe pays $150M false des[cription]"

Given that the Rift has been overshadowed by the more popular HTC Vive, I find this lawsuit to be rather comic, considering the Rift has been dying down due to the Vive just being.. Better.
I hate Oculus and Facebook. So I'm fine with this result.
